According to Spaceflight Now, commercial interest in the ISS seems to be growing. The prospect of commercially funded research on the space station will not only provide an incentive to extend the life of the space station past its 2016 end date, but will provide a market for space transportation services being developed by the Commercial Orbital Transportation Systems initiative.
