Boeing Co. shipped a GPS satellite from its development center in El Segundo to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida in preparation for a launch later this year, the company said.
The GPS IIF system was developed to bring enhanced performance to the GPS constellation by providing double the navigational accuracy of heritage satellites, Boeing said.
