The IAF was represented at the UN-COPUOS Scientific and Technical Subcommittee which met in its 47th session in Vienna between 8-19 February 2010.
A scientific symposium on the theme “Nurturing the development of space technology” was held on 8 February 2010, moderated by Mr Ulrich Huth, Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee.
Presentations were made by Ms Rachel Villain (Euroconsult), Mr Ahmad Sabirin Arshad (Astronautic Technology Sdn Bhd), Mr Adigun Ade Abiodun, (NASRDA), Mr Hyon Sock Chang (Satrec Initiative) and Ms Mazlan Othman (UN-OOSA).
At the end of the Tuesday morning session, there were two special presentations on “Summary of APRSAF-16” by Mr. Y. Horikawa of Japan and on “The RIM-PAMELA international experiment opens the window in the world of very-high energy physics and dark matter” by Mr. A. Galper of the Russian Federation.
