Kentucky satellite to launch

This year Kentucky will reach space with its own satellite for the first time. The satellite, KySat-1, will be part of a NASA's Glory Mission launching in November. The launch also includes satellites from the Universities of Montana and Colorado, and will mark the first time NASA has launched satellites for universities.

KySat-1 is a product of Kentucky Space, which is made up of six Kentucky universities, including MSU and UK, the Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation, and Belcan Corporation.
