2010 Space Update: Results from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter

On 24 March 2010, during the 2010 Spring Meeting, the IAF presented the 2010 Space Update at the premises of UNESCO in Paris.

Three major speakers participated on Wednesday 24 March, hosted by UNESCO in Paris.

This year’s Space Update featured a talk about NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. The MRO has been analyzing minerals, looking for water, tracing the distribution of dust in the atmosphere and monitoring Martian weather. James Graf from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory was long time project manager of the MRO and he presented Results from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.

James Graf is the Deputy Director for the Earth Science and Technology Directorate at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He has been employed in various space-related developments for 35 years, including as the project manager of the Earth orbiting Quick Scatterometer Mission and of the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter Mission. He has twice been the recipient of NASA's Outstanding Leadership Medal.
