Gravity satellite launch delayed

The launch of the ESA GOCE satellite has been delayed. Controllers suspended the countdown when the service tower protecting its rocket failed to move clear of the pad and allow a lift-off.

Meeting of International Space Exploration Coordination Group

Representatives of ten space agencies from around the world met under the banner of the International Space Exploration Coordination Group. They adopted for further study three scenarios for conducting internationally coordinated robotic and human exploration activities on the Moon. This was one of several results arising from a meeting held on March 10-12, 2009, in Yokohama Japan.
